Unequally Yoked
"Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?"
— 2 Corinthians 6:14
THE INSPIRATION
In the ancient world, pairing a donkey and an ox under the same yoke was forbidden — they are fundamentally different animals with different gaits, different strengths, different natures. Paul uses this image to call believers to an honest look at the partnerships, relationships, and alliances they form. It's not a passage of condemnation toward unbelievers — it's a call to clarity about who we are. Light and darkness don't mix. Be set apart, not in pride, but in purpose.
